Bokashi Bin
In Rm 3 there are two Monitors for the Bokashi bin. These are the things you can put in the bin: apple cores, stone of a plum, nectarines, peaches, sandwiches, banana skin, pears, carrots. Room 3 is sharing the bin with Rm 4. The Monitors take the Bokashi Bin up to the big bin by the staffroom. The bin is small and probably 70cm long and 10cm wide
Timeline For HPS
At HPS Room 3 started a timeline. We started in 1964 and have been exciting for 50 years. There are stuff that started from the 1960's to 2013 so there has been a lot of changes since the first class photo at HPS. There's not just class photos there's also iPads, coloured clothes and plastic chairs etc. We arranged a bunch of pictures starting from 1964 to 2014. We also got a bunch of questions that said like when was Miss Lister born and others.
Room 3 Howick Primary Time Line
Room 3 has been doing time lines. They have been putting them in place and they started at 1964. Everyone had a photo of the olden days in Howick Primary and set them in order. Everyone got another photo of things when they were made, born or released and you had to put them under the photos of the year they were made. Room 3 was shocked the photos were black and white and some coloured.
Terrific Rugby Training
In week nine we started rugby training with to boys who play for Pakuranga rugby club.
you could do tackling. There is about seventeen boys playing rugby. The positions in rugby are fast wingers, forwards, full backs and last not least the kicker first five eight. Some people are good at tackling, stepping, running and kicking. Aaron and Kyle's favourite postion is winger. Elliot's favourite position is fullback. Fullbacks are supposed to be good at tackling and wing is meant to be fast. First five eight are good kickers. The last position is forward. The forwards work the hardest.
They play for the premier rugby team. We train at Howick Pirimary School grounds.
The things that we do at training are passing running drills and if you had your mouth guard

The Amazing Howick Historical Village Trip
We dressed up as the olden day people and we had to walk 2km there and 2km back. Once we got there we had morning tea.
After that we had to put our bags into a cubby hole and the bags got locked in side and we went for a little tour around the village.
Next we went for a lovely tour we first went to the court house.
Then we went to the classroom and dug up sand.
After that we went to the classroom.
Lastly, we did a spot the difference activity where we had to spot the 20th century items in old houses and buildings. There were things like stamps, digital watches and an anchor milk bottle.

Yummy Milk
Milk is yummy. Milk is creamy. When you are thirsty milk helps you get unthirsty. Milk helps you get strong and keeps you healthy. Sometimes in HPS we get milk after lunch we have to fold the milk and put it in the milk bin. Did you know that milk can get delivered to school? If you know that's that. If you don't know we will tell you! It is called Milk in Schools. Some people don't drink milk some people might not like it or something else etc. Some people love milk. But people in my HPS mostly in the seinors don't fold there milk cartons some are folded a little bit me and some other people from my class folded about 147 milk cartons that's NOT good!!! Milk comes from cow's Girl and boys. Goat milk is REALLY bad!!!
HPS Time Capsule
Today HPS is having there 50th jubilee and each child has created a future letter to themselves which will be put in the school time capsule. It will be opened in 25 years time and will be buried today at 1:30 this afternoon. Each class will put their classes letters into a bag and will be buried under the middle school chess pieces which is across from the school office.

Grandparent's Day
Grandparents Day
The Grandparents came in the class room and we presented our speechs to them. We asked them really important questions to them for our 50th jubilee. We asked them questions like what stationery did you use? What subjects at school did you do? What was your uniforms like? Caleb's grandparent brought his car to show us.
When the bell rang they had morning tea in the hall with scones and tea.
